ChatGPT: Setting up Newsradar for medical news

I'm starting to play with the $50/year version. Maybe I will upgrade to the $20/month version. I've written about "newsradars" -- Robin Good's term for setting up specific, filtered information flow on designated topics. So I asked GPT-3 how to set up a newsradar using RSS to track new developments in pharmaceutical research for specific diseases. I used Inoreader as my RSS reader and RSS Feed Generator to generate feeds. Inoreader makes it possible to filter the output from various feeds; for example, it is possible to show only those posts from a pharmaceutical research site that mention a specific disease. Of course, this method can be used for other purposes. I used to know how to do all this without assistance, but it's been a few years since I taught infotention -- so  ChatGPT refreshed my know-how.

A helpful follower on Mastodon alerted me to RSSGizmos.com:

First, I asked how to go about it:

My next prompt: Suggest 15 reliable and reputable online sources that furnish RSS feeds and cover scientific and pharmaceutical research int  diseaseX . Include major medical journals, pharmaceutical industry publications, government health agencies, and diseaseX research organizations.

I then searched to discover what others have said about each recommended source (crap detection must go along with prompt engineering because Large Language Models "hallucinate" info that is wrong or non-existent) and added each RSS feed. Then I asked Inoreader to show me only those posts that mention diseaseX by setting up a filter. I can quickly scan latest posts and star those that are worthy of attention and/or further investigation.
