Hawaiian/Buddhist Shoes

(I would like to think) I wouldn't namedrop like this in public, but for patrons only: Years ago, I painted a pair of shoes for Larry Brilliant's birthday. A few weeks ago, he asked me to paint a pair for Marc Benioff's birthday. The themes were Hawaii and Buddhism. They are both menschs in my book, so I did it as a favor.

One of Mamie's friend's daughter, a particularly adorable young lady by the name of Nell, saw Kas' space-themed shoes and asked how to obtain a pair. Since her parents hosted us for Thanksgiving pre-plague, that will be next on the agenda. After that, I hope it's back to the light box and painting blocks, which continue to fascinate baby Kasra -- he inspects each one, turning it over and over, when I present a new one. Then he looks up at the wall where the paintings with similar metapatterns hangs. I hope to see the day when he can explain to me exactly what it is that fascinates him about the painting.
