Magickal Energies in situ

When we moved into this house in 1986, the back fence consisted of some ancient redwood planks, held firmly together by ivy that must have been growing since the house was built in 1920. I was fine with it. The ivy had grown high enough to create a visual barrier without blocking out the late afternoon summer sun. A new neighbor moved in and he decided to tear down the old fence and build a new one. It wasn't my choice, but I split the cost. Then I built these two redwood planters and planted Cecile Brunner. The fence should be covered in pink roses by the time I hit my late seventies. When I finished Magickal Energies, it seemed natural to put it on the fence between the planters, overlooking my raised vegetable beds.
