RIME is a packet-based network with 1400 member BBSs throughout the world. It's 450 conferences are filled with people who love a good debate. Many folks have been talking with each other for almost the entire ten year history of RIME. The BBSs exchange up to 8.5 meg of ascii conversation a day. While there are strict rules against flames and profanity, they are unevenly applied. Discussions here are not as focused or as cerebral as on ILink, but the participants have the same sense of community and often meet in various places throughout the year. - E.L.
