Five hundred story tellers sharing tales and spinning yarns across a virtual campfire make up NerdNosh. This group uses two mailing lists, one for telling stories and the other for chatter, to form a community of people who simply love to talk with each other. The stories they tell are wonderful for the most part. Stories include flights of fancy but mostly stories from the lives of the participants told with compelling simplicity. The Noshers gather once a year for NoshCon, and there are smaller gatherings in various locales throughout the year. There is a definite diversity in this group in terms of age, geography, and career fields that is rare. These are the sort of people you would like to know live in the neighborhood you're thinking about moving into. - E.L.
