This virtual world is based on the "Lord of the Rings" books by J.R.R. Tolkien. Tolkien fans alert: Elendor is set in Middle Earth, specifically the later part of the Third Age. While some of the users use the MUSH for adventuring and conquest, the community on Elendor happens when users join one of several cultures and build a home within its communities. Home to over 2,000 users, Elendor has been evolving since 1993 and has spawned a multitude of face to face parties, camping trips and other gatherings.
