You'll make your mouth pucker up by reading alt.bitterness. Read it too much and it just might stay that way. Oh, the bitching! Oh, the moaning! There is hair bitterness (what is it with women who use curling irons at the Grand Canyon? Don't they know they're camping? Why do they clog up the bathroom?) and there is bitterness when some jumps in with a non-bitter response ("Post something bitter or shaddup!"). The humor here is biting and will snap you on the ass if you don't watch yourself. When so many world weary souls congregate in one place there is always a tinge of superiority and the game of one-ups-man-ship is played vehemently. There is also a bit of neighboring town rivalry between alt.bitterness and alt.angst, but there's no reason not to feel both and post about it.
