newsgroup: alt.angst

"Angst: The feeling that, to other people, you are just a flesh speed-bump in the parking lot of life." Or so says one of the participants of alt.angst. These kids do not play nice. There's a lot of bellyaching and moaning with occasional snaps of nastiness. Ignore what your mama told you about "If you don't have anything nice to say..." because it just doesn't apply to this newsgroup. So why do people go there? "I post when the broth of shit and urine is so stirred up in me that I need a place to pour it out." This is a land where smileys are not welcomed and you're given free license to complain about not getting laid, having a dead-end job or crummy friends. Don't expect truckloads of enablers to come running to you with hugs and warm fuzzies - this just ain't that kind of place. If you want to join in, just get out your Smiths albums, feel Morrissey's pain and wallow in alt.angst.-D.L.J.
