In the beginning...

I was a forcep baby. Yanked from the womb by my head. Left me with pointed ears for two years. Somehow, I managed to get into college and grad school anyway.

Then suddenly...

I realized that I didn't want to study astrophysics, I wanted to study history and anthropology (so I did; BA in both, 1988, UC Santa Cruz).

Then suddenly...

I realized that I wanted instead to study international politics (so I did; MA 1990, ABD 1992, UC Berkeley).

Then suddenly...

I realized that I didn't care about grad school and wanted to quit (so I did).

Along the way I got married, fell into a job at GBN, and met Howard.

And finally...

I'm happily serving my corporate masters, plotting rebellion in my spare time.
