Sue Boettcher first came online in 1993. In 1996 she founded her own web design and online community consulting business, WWCoCo New Media, combining an expertise in the social side of virtual community administration with a solid understanding of the technical aspects of the underlying software. She created an online community of specialized medical personnel, helped build AOL's first women's forum in 1995, has hosted at Cybergrrl Village, Electric Minds and Electric Hosts, and founded and co-hosts women2women, with Eva Shaderowfsky.

On the people side, her areas of special expertise are women's issues, social communities and chat. On the technical side, she's an expert in HTML and Web Crossing software. She and Doug Lerner wrote "A Non-Programmer's Guide to Web Crossing" for Web Crossing, Inc. and in April 2000 she began a full-time job with Web Crossing, Inc. as Director of Community Development.
